In its infancy, Burren Junction was a railway tent town mainly composed of itinerant railway construction workers. From the beginning, arose a trhriving settlement providing goods and services and catering for the needds of the town and distict.
Most of the streets of Burren Junction are named after British War victories e.g. Waterloo Street, Hastings Street.
The years have brought great change to the area, The wheat silos that reach upwards towards the skyline like sentinels are a reminder of the advances made by later generations.
